Buenos Aires is an eclectic mix of old and new, European and South American. Known as the Paris of South America, this city has blossomed into fashion and gastronomy hot spot. To properly enjoy the city you need a great hotel to recharge every night.
During our stay at the Dazzler Polo hotel we stayed in a suite on the top floor, being the ninth floor. The suite has two rooms, the bedroom with a soft king size bed and the living room with a couch, desk and minibar.
The large room has plenty of space to kick of you walking shoes and enjoy some well deserved rest and relaxation after exploring Buenos Aires. We could have spent our whole trip enjoying the big bed if the city did not have so much to see!
From both rooms you have access to the large balcony overlooking the city. One night while we were there we got a bottle of local wine and enjoyed it out on our private balcony watching the sunset, a true romantic moment.
One nice touch in the room for international travelers is a universal wall plug. To our surprise when arriving in Argentina the wall plugs are type I sockets and/or type C plugs, the common European style. No need to worry about clunky adaptors at this hotel.
Breakfast set for Champions
There is no better way to prepare for a day full of tourism around Buenos Aires than a good night’s sleep and filling breakfast. Breakfast is luckily included with the room and is a great reason to get out of bed in the morning.
The breakfast buffet at the Dazzler is more than your average hotel offering. The food gives you a great taste of what locals themselves eat for breakfast, including coffee, medialunas, fresh fruit and juice, yogurt and more.
Our favorite part of the meal had to be the delicious bowlful of miniature alfajores, a traditional Argentine desert filled with dulce de leche!
Rooftop Pool with Panoramic Views
On the top floor of the hotel is a seasonal pool which was unfortunately closed due to the time of our visit. There are also a dozen lounge chairs to enjoy the afternoon sun. Even if the pool is not open, head up up to the rooftop for the best place to watch the sunset over the city.
Steps from Parque Tres de Febrero
Having a comfortable and spacious hotel is wonderful, but its location is a deal breaker. The hotel is conveniently located near the Hipódromo de San Isidro and its polo field, giving the hotel its name.
The Dazzler Polo hotel is located just three short blocks from the expansive Parque Tres de Febrero, also known as the Bosques de Palermo. Inside the park is a massive rose garden and several modern food joints. On the weekends the park is packed with locals enjoying some green space and fresh air.
The hotel is also located a ten minute walk from dozens of restaurants, bars and even a shopping center. There is no better place to enjoy a little bit of everything that the Palermo Neighborhood and all of Buenos Aires has to offer.
