Everyone wants to get their own postcard style picture. Sometimes it is hard because you are not a local and you have no idea where these hidden photo spots are. This photo guide to Santorini, Greece gives you some tips in where to look for the perfect photo.
This is one of my favorite pictures because the flag matches the landscape. It takes always a while to get the perfect photo with the flag moving, yet when you get it, it is totally worth it.
This picture might be the most famous and iconic photo of Santorini (Oia). It took us a while to find out where was the right spot to take this photo. We will share it with you so you do not waste your time. From Caldera Square you turn right and walk down Nikolaou Nomikou Street. You will see a blue dome (another church) you need to turn left onto Lenas Alafouzou Street, walk down some rocky stairs and then boom the great view.
This view is from the Old Castle at sunset. This is the perfect spot to watch the sunset because you get the view from the whole city, but go early to get a good spot. Although please be careful, when we went there a rock fell into a girls arm, so DO NOT SIT underneath the Old Castle rock walls.
Beautiful sunset from the Old Castle.
Beautiful view from the Old Castle.
My favorite church in Santorini (Oia). Sometimes the door is open for visitors. The tip to get this picture is to be patient and wait for people to keep moving or even better wake up really early, as tourists normally like their sleeping time.
Donkeys are really famous in the islands because it can get really hot and there is so many steps to go down to the old port.
Walking towards the windmill and try to get lost in all the small streets, you never know around which corner will be the perfect photo spot.
We found this dome on the way to windmills taking the main way there. Nice photo!
