Parque de Atracciones in Madrid, Spain

Parque de Atracciones is one of the two main amusement parks in Madrid, Spain. Located just at the edge of the city, it is easily accessible by metro or car. The small park has enough rides and experiences to fill your day with fun. There is an expansive number of kids ride in Nickelodeon Land.

Top Roller Coasters at Parque de Atracciones

#4: Star Flyer

The Star Flyer is the tallest ride in the amusement park at 80 metres. The flying chairs are suitable for all. Not only do you get a breathtaking view of the park and the city of Madrid, but the snow capped mountains in the distance.

#3: Abismo

Abismo is a short yet heart dropping roller coaster. It starts with an upside down drop and continues through several loops reaching speeds over 100 km/h. With such high speeds, the ride is over quicker than we hoped, and left us wanting more.

#2: Tarántula

Our favorite roller coaster in Parque de Atracciones is Tarántula. This unique ride has cars that spin in complete circles, giving you a new experience each time you ride. Spin your way into fun on Tarántula

#1: Tornado

Unfortunately when we went to the park, the Tornado roller coaster was undergoing maintenance. The ride keeps you flipping through loops, with an experience like a tornado. With you feet dangling free, it will make you feel like you are flying.

Avoid: La Máquina

We advise to not ride on La Máquina. The ride swings back and forth as the seating disc turns around its own axis. Basically if you have eaten anything all day or can get dizzy at all, the ride will ruin your day. The ride is nearly 3min 30sec long, twice what it should be. When we rode it, we felt so sick it ended our day.

Good thing Tornado was closed, they can be scary! Even for adults.

The Abismo roller coaster ride looked really scary based on that video. I thought I was going to fall just by watching the ride. I would love to see some photos of the other rides and how they actually look like.

I'm not much of a ride person although I would love to ride the tallest ride to get a great view. . . .On second thoughts, i might try it once, worth the view. . .
