5 tech gadgets you need for your next trip

5-tech-gadgets

1. Portable Battery Pack

No matter where we go we always take two portable battery packs because we use our phones a tremendous amount throughout the day. We regularly take notes on it for future blog posts, take photos, post updates plus use it for the occasional directions. A phone battery that normally lasts all day can be gone by lunch!

Recommended: Anker Astro E1.

2.  Solar Charger

When staying in a hostel you might end up with one electric outlet for the entire room and then is when this magical gadget can save your day. You can charge your phone or battery pack during the day. It is perfect for people like me who consumes battery like water.

Recommended: iBeek 10000mAh Solar Battery Charger or Anker PowerPort Solar Lite.

3. Unlocked Phone

Samsung Galaxy S7 edge

While many places do have free and open WiFi, this is not always the case and never true when you really need it. We always get a local sim card for internet and phone, which requires an unlocked phone. This is becoming less of an issue as more phones become carrier free, but still something important to consider. It is also important to have constant communication back home. We strongly recommend telling your family or friends your whereabouts in case of an emergency.

Recommended: Any cell phone that allows you to easily switch the sim card to any carrier.

4. Travel Converter/Adaptor

If you do have access power outlet overnight, you want to take full advantage of it. Bring along a travel convertor, adaptor and extension cord in one and turn one outlet into seven! This extra weight is completely worth it, when the alternative is waking up every two hours throughout the night to have every device half charged.

Recommended: BESTEK Travel Adapter.

5. 1TB Hard Drive

Why would you need a hard drive while you are on vacation? Simple, to backup all your photos and videos. High quality images and videos quickly fill up memory cards. No matter what happens to your camera while traveling you still have your photos safe and backed up.

Recommended: Seagate 1TB External Hard Drive.
