When it comes down to it, there is nothing more important in a hotel stay than comfortable accommodations in the perfect location. The large luxurious bed feels like sleeping on clouds and the cool toiletries with herbs and spices made us never want to leave. From our room we also have a fantastic view of downtown Charlotte to enjoy night and day without even having to get out of bed.
The hotel also offers a heated indoor pool with lounge chairs. It is the perfect spot for a bit of relaxing after a long day exploring the city. There is also an outdoor pool, which was closed as we visited in the early spring and it was a bit too chilly to be swimming outside.
Dinner at Evoke
There is no better way to end off your day in Charlotte than with a delicious dinner in the comfort of your hotel. Le Méridien recently relaunched its restaurant, Evoke, with a menu focused on locally sourced dishes influenced by cultures around the world. With a small dish concept, you have the opportunity to try many different dishes including our favorites the sweet Carolina Gold Rice Grits and Country Fried Steak. Do not leave without trying one of the desert specials as well.
Rooftop Skyline Bar
As the sun begins to set and the lights of the city come to life make your way to the Rooftop Skyline Bar. Ride the elevator to the 18th floor for a panoramic view of the Charlotte skyline. Grab a craft cocktail, sit back in luxury and enjoy the view. Even if you are not looking for a drink in the evening, head on up for a quick view over the city.
