Hotel Review: Four Points by Sheraton Cancun Centro

The Four Points by Sheraton Cancun Centro is an upscale hotel in Cancun, Mexico. The hotel is connected to Galenia Hospital, the most important hospital in the area and close to the Plaza Las Americas shopping mall. The rooftop pool at the Four Points by Sheraton Cancun Centro is our favorite spot in the hotel as you can enjoy a great view and get some delicious drinks or food.

View from the rooftop pool

The hotel has three different restaurants in the hotel depending on your mood. The style of the hotel offers a combination of modern elegance and contemporary artwork throughout the building.

The Rooms

We stayed in the Traditional Guest Room with city views. The Guest Rooms feature either one king bed or two queen beds, contemporary decor, luxury bedding, a flat-panel TV and in select hotel rooms, you can enjoy the city views from the large windows. The rooms also come with a mini-refrigerator, marble bathroom, ergonomic workstations, air conditioning, two complimentary bottled waters, a safe, seating area, and free high-speed internet access.

The room is big and had everything we needed. It was the perfect place to get comfortable after a day of exploring downtown Cancun, to unwind and relax. As we were celebrating our birthday, the hotel had a surprise waiting for us upon arrival, chocolate covered strawberries. The hotel also offers room service from the restaurants to satisfy your cravings.

The Property

The property is connected to one of the most important hospitals in the area and it is located near the Plaza Las Americas shopping mall. Even though it is not in the heart of the busy Zona Hotelera or downtown Cancun it is located on a strategic location to explore Cancun and beyond. The lobby is super clean and organized into several areas where you can just sit down and enjoy a book, a drink, meet with friends or work remotely. Our favorite place in the lobby, is the travel inspired room next to the front desk. The lobby also had several art pieces for you to enjoy.

Some of the amenities you will find on the property include a top-notch 24 hours fitness center, rooftop pool, three on-site restaurants with daily deals, a full service spa, and underground parking. The hotel is pet friendly, so it is the perfect place if you want to bring your furry friend on your Quintana Roo adventure.

Dining

The hotel has three on site restaurants; the Pool Bar, the Toastina Sports Bar, and the Eatery Bistro & Restaurante. The Pool Bar is only open for lunch and they offer a range of deli snacks. The Toastina Sports Bar is open for lunch and dinner, where they feature Bar-B-Q food and regional and imported beers, as well as a variety of spirits.

Lastly but not least, the Eatery Bistro & Restaurante which is open all day featuring Mexican and international cuisine. For breakfast there is an extensive buffet breakfast that is delicious and highly recommended. Breakfast is not included with the hotel booking but it is worth the approximately $13 USD.

There are of hot foods, a range of fresh fruits and even several a la cart options included. Every morning we looked forward to sampling different local foods from the breakfast buffet before heading to the rooftop pool or out to explore the city of Cancun.

Whether you are in Cancun for business, a concert, a medical consultation or just to explore the highlights of Cancun, this Sheraton property is the perfect hotel for you! Just a quick cab ride to the best restaurants, nightlife spots, and tourist locations in Cancun makes Four Points by Sheraton Cancun Centro a wonderful hotel.
